Attendees:
John, Debbie & Gary, Tony, Chris & Caroline

Next Meeting:
TBA invite Wokingham Borough councillors.

Discussed ideas for flyer to be distributed before 1st July deadline

The development of the Science Park will effect YOU
From dog walkers and runners who enjoy the countryside around Cutbush Lane, to everyone who has to queue on the congested roads

  • More congestion around the Black Boy roundabout and whole area
  • Lack of respect for the grade II listed Lane End Farm which will be in the middle of a roundabout
  • Lack of amenities to support further development e.g. problems with drains, sewage and flooding
  • Construction traffic and buses going down Cutbush Lane
  • Construction will span approx 25 years and will start at 7am and take place on Saturdays
  • Pollution in terms of noise, light and air quality
  • Loss of ecological and natural habitat for wildlife
  • Changing biodiversity
  • Changing the character of the landscape
  • Destruction of agricultural land
  • Erosion of green wedges between Shinfield and Lower Earley
  • Loss of village character
  • Knock on effects e.g. reduce house prices and increase risk of crime
  • Opens the doors to the development of a link road and more housing

Please email back any suggestions or comments for the flyer ASAP.

treeThis is the 200 year old Oak Tree, after the demonstration 18th March 2005, on A327 and junction of Cutbush Lane, in the village of Shinfield, South of Reading.
