2009-06-22 SRAG

Met up with SRAG members Colin, Geoff, Brian, Brian and Marlene.

There were serious concerns about the order of construction

“Construction will span approximately 25 years with construction expected to commence in 2010” Chapter_0_Contents.pdf

“on average there would be approximately 150 HGV movements per day and 270 light vehicle movements per day” Chapter_10_Transport_and_Access.pdf:10.55

“                       2010 Baseline
2 Way Flow       HGV
Cutbush Lane     2,207                61
” Chapter_10_Transport_and_Access.pdf::10.51

“HGV traffic would access the construction site from a temporary access point provided from
the A327 (Hollow Lane). The use of Cutbush Lane as an access for plant and machinery
would be avoided.” Chapter_10_Transport_and_Access.pdf:10.80

“First phase building number 1, commencement date January 2010” Design_and_Access_Statement_f.pdf:5.24

“Traffic will access the Assessment Site via a temporary access formed at the junction of Shinfield Road with Cutbush Lane”, Chapter_6_Construction_Programme.pdf:6.8

“An emergency access to the Application Site would be provided from Cutbush Lane.” Appendix_10.1_Transport_Assessment_Report.pdf:page 1

“Buses will then exit by turning right onto Cutbush Lane” Design_and_Access_Statement_h.pdf
(pass a grade II listed building. The foundations and road surface will not support a bus route running outside)

constant construction, work traffic between 7am and 6pm Monday-Friday and 7am and 1pm Saturday.

Village character Statement to retain green wedges/gaps policy.

Submission Wokingham Borough Core Strategy.pdf states
The Council will work with the University of Reading (as the potential associated higher education institution) and relevant landowners to identify an appropriate site in the Site Allocations & Management DPD for the Science Park. a) Appropriate pre-application discussions;
b) Appropriate public consultation has been carried out (see Tier 1 of the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) (paragraphs 3.45 to 3.47)); and
c) The Development Management & Allocations DPD confirming the Science Park allocation and a subsequent Development Brief SPD (incorporating a masterplan) for the Science Park has been adopted.
